King Won
King WonKing has spent more than 25 years in networking product and standards development. Before Gigamon, King spent 8 years at Sniffer Technologies/Network General as an engineering director, working with highly motivated and talented teams in architecting, developing and delivering successful products including Gigabit Ethernet Sniffers, ATM Sniffers, and high performance forensic network data recorders. Previously King was in product development at Sytek/Hughes LAN Systems working with Cable/RF LAN and bridging/switching products. King also worked many years at Intel, including its LAN division as well as its internal magnetic bubble memory startup. King holds several patents in networking and a BSEE degree from UC Davis.
Patrick Leong
Patrick is the key designer of a series of successful telecom and network analyzer products that have generated substantial revenues over the years. Prior to joining Gigamon, he was a Principal Engineer at Ciena (starting with Cyras before it was acquired), where he lead the engineering efforts in developing the company’s metro data products. Patrick also performed technical due diligence for Ciena in acquisition and partnering. Before Ciena, Patrick was the Manager of High Speed Products at the Sniffer Division of Network Associates, where he was in charge of the development of WAN and Gigabit Ethernet Sniffers. A physicist by training, Patrick understands a broad range of technologies and has a track record of taking products from inception to market in a timely manner. Patrick holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Columbia University and has more then 10 patents in his name.
Thomas Cheung
Thomas has over 15 years research, design and engineering experience across a broad cross section of the Telecom and Networking industry. Thomas was the principle hardware designer for a successful venture backed networking startup, Cyras, which was acquired by Ciena in late-2000 for $2.6 Billion. While at Ciena, he led the hardware architecture and development of many successful telecommunication and data network subsystem products including an Ethernet Transport LAN Services Module, a Low Speed Add-Drop Module and a Gigabit Ethernet Bridging Module. Thomas has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University, supplemented by certification in Business for Technical Managers, Strategic Project Management, Creating Excellence in Workplace, and Leadership Styles from UCLA.
